Your smile is important. It is one of the first aspects noticed when you meet someone. Smile brings teeth to light and this puts people into value. A white, shiny smile makes you feel comfortable and confident in your own self.
Lifestyle, aging, but also some daily habits contribute to teeth staining and colouring - intake of coloured drinks (red wine, coke, coffee, black tea), smoking. In 30 minutes BEYOND accomplishes what the traditional processes were not accomplishing in months. The objective is the same: whitening of coloured teeth and removal of stains from the enamel and dentin.

According to the Resolution of the Romanian College of Dental Practitioners, Law no. 95/2006, title XV,
Recommendations for an efficient treatment.
Before making the whitening treatment, for having a satisfactory result, the following are recommended:
- Professional removal of tartar in the stomatological cabinet, in case of some deposits of tartar on the teeth, that will prevent the teeth whitening at the teeth cervical part.
- Whitening of a single arch (regularly the superior arch) in the first phase until saturation is obtained (the colour does not modify anymore) and after that of the other arch (the inferior arch). Only this way you will notice the whitening of the treated teeth in comparison to the other arch.
- Provisory treatment of the active processes and cavities in the mouth (if it is the case of any cavities or other problems that require stomatological treatment).
- Whitening does not affect (whiten or colour) in any way the prosthetic works or the obturations that exist in the mouth (bridges, micro-prostheses, obturations with composite or with amalgam). These will preserve their colour.
- The colour that is obtained after a complete whitening treatment remains stable up to 2 years. If the patient has a rich coloured liquid-diet and is a smoker, it is recommended that he/she uses every 6 months a mouth guard for an hour for the whitening of the two arches for the colour refreshing.
- Whitening is done only on vital natural teeth (that have not had canal treatment for nerve removal) or devital teeth (that have had canal treatment for nerve removal and reticular canals were sealed);
- Teeth whitening is indicated for all the patients irrespective of gender, feeding, general conditions etc., aged between 18 and 65 years.
Contraindications:
- persons with cross tetracycline stripes (dark brown colouring under the form of visible stripes appeared on the definitive teeth eruption), after the whitening treatment they will have cross white stripes on the teeth.
- pregnant or lactating women.
- children up to the age of 16 years
- persons that have only prosthetic restoration in the front and side areas.
- wisdom molars are not whitened;
- persons that have active problems (cavities, cangrenes, opened canals, mobile teeth, extractions, canal treatments with their sealing, obturations with provisory dressings, sensitive teeth and allergies.
Persons with sensitive teeth or gums, with retiring gums or with dental problems should avoid the use of whitening solutions until they are allowed to by the dental practitioner. Also, the persons that are sensitive or allergic to peroxide (the whitening agent) are advised not to use these procedures.
Gum diseases. All those who suffer from the above listed affections are, generally, discouraged with their intention of dentition whitening. Cavities are treated after whitening, as the eventual existing inlays do not whiten. They remain to their initial colour as the respective substance acts only upon the organic material. The existing cavitis are eventually protected with a cement and are treated subsequently, selecting a colour that is consistent to the new colour of teeth. The same way, whitening cannot produce in case of exposed roots, as they do not have an enamel layer that would be cleaned.
Already existing crowns, bevels and obturations (inlays). In this case, the danger is represented by the portions that will whiten and by those that will remain the same. Therefore, inesthetic appearance. This thing may however be avoided. Any whitening procedure mult be done before teeth repair, so as the problem of non-flat whitening should not appear. Ask your dentist previously to find out what strategy is advisable for you to apply.
ATTENTION:
There is a percentage of 5% of people globally that would not respond to any whitening treatment, irrespective of modality, product, brand. If, after a 4-day treatment you do not notice any difference, that means you count among these.
Do not swallow the gel from the mouth guard. It may irritate the mucouses. If there appears a slight dental sensitivity during the treatment or after the mouth guards' removal, this is normal for patients with more sensitive teeth, the cause being the slight dehydration of teeth. After rehydration, however (with saliva, after the mouth guards' removal), this disappears in a maximum of 24 hours.
The whitening degree varies, obviously, from individual to individual - being conditioned by factors such as dentition condition, stain nature, system type used for whitening and the time during which this system acted.
Examination every 6 months for colour maintenance.
Risks associated with teeth whitening
Most often encountered negative effects are: increase of dental sensitivity and the appearance of some low gum irritations, the first being encountered during the first treatment stages. Both the unpleasant effects disappear, usually, after 1-3 days from treatment stop of from its finishing. If you use teeth whitening products at home, always ask your dental practitioner, as he/she is the only one entitled to give you the right advice.
