ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF COMPOSITE COMPARED TO PORCELAIN

ADVANTAGES OF COMPOSITE:
-    ESTHETICAL
-    PRICE
-    TIME OF PERFORMANCE

BEVELS reconstruction of the group teeth with the cover of the teeth only from the vestibular face without devitalization and with the maximum keeping of teeth integrity.
RECONSTRUCTIONS OF BEVELS MADE IN THE CABINET
Front tooth
Discolouring of dentin and preparation of enamel after an old canal obturation - final reconstruction

Cavity
What does cavity mean?
Cavity - is a chronic process that is related to the demineralisation of the enamel and of the dentin. Cavity passes through 4 stages: marbling, simple, medium, deep cavity.
Squeleted prosthesis
PROSTHESES
It is a fixed prosthesis that is fixed on the pillar teeth previously lined into a bridge from which some small clasps come out that are fixed to the prosthesis. They do not basculate and are perfectly accepted by the organism. The only condition is that the pillar teeth should be well implanted in the bone. Minimum 4-5 pillar teeth. Advantage - it can be used day and night in comparison to other kinds of prostheses.

SQUELETED PROSTHESES
Prosthesis is a mobile structure necessary when, because of a partial or total lack of teeth, their replacement with fixed devices is no longer possible, thus being the only solution to restore the mastication function for an optimum feeding. The advantage of the squeleted prosthesis is that it does not shake, does not basculate and is not removed at night; it is fixed on a minimum of 4-5 well implanted pillar teeth.

TOTAL PROSTHESES
In case of total edentation, one of the ways to solve the situation is the mobile prosthetion. It is a mobile work with its advantages and disadvantages. Many patients refuse to wear a prosthesis because of the vomiting process that is produced in most of the cases by the upper prosthesis; another cause is the appearance of thrushes that may come out in the first day of prosthesis wearing until it adapts by the crest. However, the prosthesis is made of a hard material and it is normal in this case that the patient should come back to the cabinet for adaptation and adjustments.

Total prosthesis of synthetic material:
-    good hygiene
-    good adherence to a well-kept gum
-    economical, practical
-    for sensitive patients
-    support of the lower jaw

Total prosthesis with metal frame:
-    higher resistance to breaks
-    increases stability and comfort
-    good hygiene

Total prosthesis with anchorage on implant:
-    Maximum comfort
-    Optimum mastication
-    Safety feeling
-    Maximum stability
-    It cannot be universally applied

Surgery
At EDUARDENT there are made any kinds of surgical extraction and intervention.
  • total anesthesia
  • alveolectomy (separation of ligaments)
  • extraction
DISADVANTAGES:
-    POSSIBILITY TO CRACK
-    POSSIBILITY TO CHANGE COLOUR
-    SLIGHTLY LOWER PRICE
